The Building and Grounds Maintenance program will introduce students to safety practices when working with tools and equipment in addition to chemical safety and the skills required to enter the building maintenance field. The primary emphasis will be on floor care and custodial practices. Students will also be provided the opportunity to acquire the necessary skills to safely operate tools associated within the landscaping maintenance industry. Specific areas of instruction will include edging, mowing, trimming, pruning, weeding, and mulching.
