Fire Training Center: Career Readiness

The Fire Training Center provides support for its cadets during and after the fire academy.

Our mission is to provide those seeking fire service careers with the basic certifications and skills needed to gain employment with a structural or wild lands firefighting agency.

Our staff is comprised of active or retired firefighters with knowledge of the skills and certifications necessary to gain employment with the fire service.

We are a part of a twenty-two member consortium of fire departments state wide that looks to us to provide quality well trained individuals as possible recruits for their departments.

We work with our sources outside of the state to place our graduates in regional structural fire departments.  In addition we train our recruits in wild lands firefighting to increase their employment opportunities and ensure they are eligible for employment with state and federal firefighting agencies.

The Fire Training Center will not guarantee placement, the academic performance self motivation and career seeking persistence of each cadet will determine the ultimate success of securing employment.
